"A book is the only place in which you can examine a fragile thought without breaking it, or explore an explosive idea without fear it will go off in your face... one of the few havens remaining where a man's mind can get both provocation and privacy."

—Charles Langbridge Morgan

If you are an artist, a quilter, a crafter - if you love to make things and often wish you had a store where you could sell them, you might want to set up an on-line ETSY store. Their mission is to enable people to make a living making things, and to connect makers with buyers.

Teacher Rebecca Fisher will walk students through all the steps to creating an ETSY storefront, from setting up your PayPal Account to taking and resizing photos and graphical images of your creations. Bring your laptop and use the library's Wi-Fi access to start an on-line business.  Load it first with the free photo management software Gimp and you'll be in buisness in no time.

The class will be on Thursday September 16 and 23 from 10-1 and on Monday September 27 from 10-1 at the library. It is limited to 5 students so you get the maximum individual attention and it costs only $20!

Call to reserve your place soon since there is room for only 5 students.
