Book signing with Dr. Michael Price

Dr. Michael Price, the former pastor at Smyrna Christian Church in King and Queen County, is returning to the area and he is bringing some valuable knowledge in his new book "How to Manage Money Like  Minister (or the A-B-C's of Pinching Pennies like a Pastor)

Price is currently the senior minister at the First Christian Church in Washington, NC. He will be at the library on Saturday, September 17 at 1:30 with copies of his new book for sale. While he admits he has no personal financial training, he has lots of hands on experience both pinching pennies and managing slender budgets. "If I say it once, I'll say it a thousand times: My mother has to be the best money manager of all time" he likes to claim, as he tells about his mother's success as a single mother raising 6 children on public assistance. "We always received Christmas and birthday gifts. We had new clothes to wear to school. The refrigerator always seemed to be full" he adds when he talks about the inspiration for stretching his money. 

Dr. Price based the title of his book on the premise that most members of the clergy are good with money. It uses a simple ABC approach to dish out pragmatic nuggets of financial wisdom. So please turn out and shake hands with an old friend on Saturday, September 17th.
