Friends of the Essex Public Library gathered in the historic colonial courthouse in Tappahannock on April 9, 2010 to meet mystery writer Brad Parks.
There was time before dinner to talk to the author and reunite with old friends.
Library staff as well as Friends Board Members acted as hosts, sharing with each other their love of literature and their pride in the library.
A magnificent buffet dinner prepared the audience for an entertaining talk which captivated them all.
